⚠️ This feature is currently only available for users with a SparkLoop account connected to one of the following ESPs: Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Beehiiv, Campaign Monitor, Sailthru or MailerLite

By default, SparkLoop syncs subscriber data from your partner program to predefined custom fields in your ESP account.

There may be occasions where you want to do more with your referral data, however.

For example, you may want to update a custom field in your ESP with the name of the partner who referred the subscriber.

Or you may want to pass details of the referral to a custom field in your ESP where you track the subscriber's acquisition details and cost. With custom formatting.

You can do all this and more with our custom field syncing.

Syncing custom partner program data to your ESP

With this feature, you can set rules to update existing custom fields in your ESP with custom-formatted data from your partner program.

To learn how, please watch this quick video tutorial:

⚠️ Please note: DO NOT include "RH_" in your new custom field in your ESP. Your custom field will not appear

Syncing custom partner program data for Beehiiv users

Due to Beehiiv API limitations, a few extra steps are required for setting up dynamic custom fields with SparkLoop. Watch the video or follow the steps below to learn how to do it.

These are the steps you should follow:

  1. Navigate to your Audience tab in Beehiiv and select Custom Fields

  2. Select Create New Custom Field

  3. Name the new custom field & choose Text as the data type, and then save

  4. While still in Beehiiv, navigate to your Subscribers list

  5. Locate & select your very first (oldest) active subscriber

  6. Under the Custom Fields tab, click Edit

  7. Add a "non-zero" value (any character) to the newly created custom field and click Done

  8. Wait 5 minutes, then navigate to your Custom Fields page in your SparkLoop Partner Program settings and the new custom field should appear in the drop-down.

FINAL NOTES

🚫 DO NOT include "RH_" in your new custom field in your ESP. Custom fields with "RH_" are treated as internal fields to store SparkLoop-specific data.

⚠️ Please note: This feature does not replace the default ESP custom fields synced automatically by SparkLoop. Data will only be synced for referrals made after the custom rule was created. Data from prior existing referrals will not be synced.
