What is Auto-Pilot?
Auto-Pilot uses SparkLoop's SRO algorithm to get to know your newsletter and your audience — then automatically finds the best publications to recommend, at the right time.
For example, if you write a sports newsletter, your audience probably enjoys other sports newsletters — but they likely enjoy other types of newsletters too, like Morning Brew, TLDR, or The Hustle. Auto-Pilot figures this out for you, so you can recommend the perfect publications without any manual work.
Once turned on, pre-approved recommendations are automatically cycled through your Signup Flow widget. You never need to manually manage your paid recommendations.

Why does Auto-Pilot occasionally recommend publications with low confirmation rates?
When a "great fit" partner has a low confirmation rate (e.g. 0% or 10%), it usually means that publication has a very specific audience profile. Most partners won't have overlapping audiences — but there will be a small handful of "exceptional" partners who do, and who will see super high conversion rates.
There's a good chance your publication could be one of them.
Publications don't get to keep rejected subscribers. There's no benefit to them from getting lots of rejected referrals.
You should still apply to join Partner Programs
After turning on Auto-Pilot, consider searching in Signup Flow for any additional free or paid publications you want to recommend. Add as many as you like — as long as they seem relevant to a segment of your audience. The more the better.

The SRO algorithm needs to test various publications to find the absolute best-fit recommendations for your audience. It takes about 2 weeks to gather enough data to begin optimizing — after that, it will deliver better recommendations than you could pick manually.
